INVITATION

On behalf of myself and the Hungarian Archery Association, I cordially invite the historical archers of Europe to the HDH-IAA European Historical Archery Championship to be held on 25-28 June 2026, at an iconic historical memorial site in Hungary, in the city of Eger, in the Castle of Eger, the city of wines.
The Championship consists of individual and international team competitions . I wish everyone good preparation and see you in Eger, the city of heroes!

AGE GROUPS:

  • Mini male/female (10-12)
  • Cadet male/female (13-14)

(The filled age on the day of first qualification day decides the age.)

25th Thursday

10:00-15:00 Arrival,
European Championship registration
Competition office – Archbishop’s Palace
15:30 Gathering, parade with flags in each country
Gathering – palace courtyard
16:00 Opening Ceremony - Dobó square
 
26th Friday 
8:00- Arrival, The castle is opening
- Through the North Gate or South Gate
8:30- Practice range open - Cathedral ruins
9:30- Technical checking, briefing - Palace courtyard
10:00 Competition starting, Qualifying round - Total area of the castle
18:00 Awarding Ceremony for MINI age groups / Varkoch Gate -stage
27th Saturday 
7:30- Arrival, The castle is opening - Through the North Gate or South Gate
8:00- Practice range open - Cathedral ruins
9:00- Technical checking, briefing - Palace courtyard
9:30- Competition starting, Semi Final round - Total area of the castle
 
 
 

 

European Championship Competition:

Pre-registration is possible in advance. The registration becomes valid
only after the registration fee has been received,
and only valid registration allows participation in the competition.

Day 1 – Qualification Round - (mini and cadet age groups) 
Competitors will shoot a total of 30 targets:

- 10 Classic Face Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1, 3, or 6 arrows per target

- 10 3D Hunter Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1 + 1 arrows per target

- 10 Technical Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1, 3, or 6 arrows per target


Day 2 – Semi-Final Round (just for cadet age group)
Competitors who qualify will advance to the semi-final.

  • The semi-final consists of 18 targets, depending on the number of qualified competitors
  • Targets are selected from the qualification round

 

 
Mini age group There is no qualification, semi final, final.
Results will be announced based
on the total result of the "qualifying" round.
Cadet age group There are no finals! Qualification levels are -5% lower

Registration becomes valid upon receipt of the entry fee!

In case of cancellation, we can refund the entry fee as follows:
      - Until 01/04/ 80% refund,
      - after 01/04/ the entry fee is 50% refund.
      - After 31/05/, we are not able to refund the entry fee!


Entry fees can only be paid through the official website!

Great news! Paying the EHistACH 2026 entry fee just got way easier.
We've launched card payment on our site using Simplepay!
If you've already registered for EHistACH, simply log in and head to the competition page.
There you'll find the PAY WITH CARD button. Click it, enter your billing details, and you'll be redirected to the payment interface.
After a successful payment, you'll be sent straight back to the HDH site, where your status will immediately update to PAID.
The system will also send you a confirmation email and the invoice right away.
